Step 1
You call in the morning
Same-day slots open at 7:30am and fill by mid-morning most days — call the front desk or use the portal, whichever’s faster for you.
Redbud Heights · Same-day sick visits
Redbud Family Health holds four same-day slots every weekday for sick visits — no urgent-care wait, no ER bill. Everything else you can book online for whenever works.
Step 1
Same-day slots open at 7:30am and fill by mid-morning most days — call the front desk or use the portal, whichever’s faster for you.
Step 2
You’ll fill out one form on a tablet at the front desk — not the same four pages of history every time, we keep it on file. A nurse takes your blood pressure, weight, and temperature in the hallway, then walks you to a room. Most visits, you’re seeing the doctor within fifteen minutes of walking in the door.
Rooms are named after Redbud Heights streets (you’ll be in “Featherstone” or “Larkspur”), not numbered — patients say it’s easier to remember which one they were in last time.
Step 3
Every provider reviews your chart before walking in — not while sitting across from you. If it’s a sick visit, you’ll usually leave with either a plan you can start that day or a same-day referral, not a “follow up if it gets worse.” If it’s a chronic-condition check (diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid), your labs get pulled up on screen so you can see the trend line yourself, not just hear “looks fine.”
No portal message goes unanswered past one business day — it’s a clinic rule, not a promise on a poster.
Step 4
For sick visits and new prescriptions, a nurse calls within three days — not a survey, an actual person asking if the medication is working and whether you need anything adjusted. For chronic care, follow-ups are scheduled before you leave the building, not left for you to remember to book.
If nobody’s called you back by day four, that’s on us — email the clinic manager directly, her address is on every after-visit summary.
Our Providers
Dr. Marisol Chen, MD
Family medicine, 14 years at Redbud
“Bikes to work most days, keeps a bowl of dog treats at the front desk for the patients who bring their dogs to pick-up.”
Nadia Osei, NP
Nurse practitioner, chronic condition management
“Knows most patients' grandkids' names before she knows their blood pressure numbers.”
Dr. Aaron Petrossian, MD
Family medicine + sports medicine
“Still plays intramural soccer on Tuesdays, has treated at least three of his own teammates.”
“I called at 8am with a fever, my daughter was seen by 11:30, and nobody made me feel like I was abusing a same-day slot for a ‘minor’ problem. That’s rare.”
“My A1C dropped for the first time in six years because Nadia actually walked me through the trend line instead of just telling me to eat better.”
