Seven people. Every engagement reports a number.
Isoline is a product design studio for early-stage software teams — UX audits, design systems, onboarding flows. We ship the redesign and the before/after metric in the same readout, including the ones that moved less than we hoped.
Work
Ledgerly
Checkout flow redesign for a small-business invoicing tool
Fernbank Health
Onboarding flow for a clinician scheduling app
Grovemark
Design system for a commercial real-estate listing platform
Thistlewood
A redesign that didn't move the metric we expected
Portside Freight
Dispatcher dashboard information architecture
Thistlewood is in the grid on purpose. We report the miss because the audits that only show wins aren’t audits.
Method
We agree on the one metric that matters before any screen gets touched — completion rate, time-to-task, error rate, whatever the team is actually accountable for. Then a flow audit, mapped as a contour diagram of every screen a user actually passes through, not the flow the product spec claims exists. Then the redesign, built in components the team’s engineers can actually ship, not a static comp. Then we measure against the metric we agreed on at the start, in writing, before either of us knew the answer.
6–14
Weeks per engagement — no open-ended retainers
Studio
Isoline is Naomi Kessler (product design), Ade Okafor (research), Ben Whitcomb (design systems), and four designers who each carry their own engagements end to end. We run five user interviews per engagement, not fifty — enough to find the real friction point, not enough to stall the redesign for a quarter.
“Isoline told us our onboarding flow’s real problem was a screen three steps earlier than the one we asked them to fix. We would’ve redesigned the wrong screen without them.”
“Most studios show you a Dribbble-shot mockup. Isoline showed us the actual completion-rate chart, including the week it dipped before it recovered.”
“They put a redesign that didn’t hit target in their own case study grid. I’ve never seen a design studio do that, and it’s why we trusted the next number they gave us.”

Send us the flow, the current number, and the target. We’ll tell you honestly whether a 6-to-14 week engagement can move it, and what we’d measure along the way.
